The Chachas Family Keeps The Gump’s Tradition Alive After Acquiring The Retailer this Year

The re-launch of Gump’s is planned for the fall of 2019. The new owners of the iconic retail company will re-open a store in San Francisco, and they are busily planning for a brand new store location in New York City, New York. The announcement was made earlier this month. Information on the exact locations has not yet been made public.

Gump’s is a private American company that has been in business since 1861. The company was founded in San Francisco by Solomon Gump. It has continuously been operated by the Gump family until the company was acquired this year. The organization is now owned by the Chachas family. John and Diane Chachas have assigned a majority interest to Anne, Christopher, and Jack Chachas, the couple’s children.

Both the sellers and the buyers are pleased that Gump’s will remain a family owned business. The Chachas family is committed to running the retail organization as distinctively and responsibly as it has been operated for nearly 160 years. The retailer offers a luxury line of jewelry, home items, and gifts. See This Page for more information.

Gumps is widely known for its luxurious home furnishings, decor and fine jewelry. Its past clientele has included the likes of the 32nd President of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the late French stage actress Sarah Bernhardt. They carry top-quality luxury brands including Hermes and Buccellati.

The acquisition will keep a legendary tradition alive for the firm’s thousands of customers. Gump’s has been a favorite destination for residents and visitors to San Francisco who enjoy browsing and shopping their exquisite collection of high-end merchandise.

Gumps features beautiful pearls and jade from the Orient and many uniquely designed items all beautifully displayed in an elegant retail atmosphere. The merchandise is also available for perusal and purchase on the Gump’s website.
