Doe Deere is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the makeup line Lime Crime. She brought Lime Crime to the world two weeks before Halloween. She simply needed makeup to go with her costume. That is how everything got started. Her makeup line consists of a variety of lipsticks, face and eye makeup, nails, and hair color. The products comes in every color imaginable. She wanted her company to reflect the person that she is. Her products are cruelty free. There are no testing on animals. They are also 100 percent vegan. Lime Crime is for those individuals that want the freedom to express themselves through their makeup and anything else beauty related. There are no restrictions with Lime Crime.

Doe Deere, the “Queen of Unicorns,” with her signature purple hair, is known for her unique sense of style. She makes no apologies for making a statement through her makeup, hair, and wardrobe. Surprisingly, Doe Deere got her start as apart of a band as a songwriter. That is how she met her husband and now business partner. Born and raised in Russia, she moved to the United States when she was 17 years old. She lived in New York city from 1998-2012. She majored in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. It allowed her to see everything that fashion and makeup had to offer.

She is currently living in Los Angeles, California. Being a musician helped her to gain experience in marketing and having a career. However, she has always had that entrepreneurial trait deep down inside. She has always been the one to rock the bold and unusual colors. When she created Lime Crime, she realized there were a lot of other women just like her. Because of that, her business is very profitable. She wanted young women to know that it is okay to be themselves through whatever they decide to put on their bodies. She is a firm believer in following your heart regardless of how the world may look at you. According to the article “Lime Crime’s Doe Deere On How To Make Your Dreams Come True,” Doe Deere says “go where you love” and focus on that. Growing up, she felt that she was different and that she was by herself. She says that you have to learn to love yourself, as she had to learn to do.
